Modern battlefield operations rely on the ability to access and share complex, real-time data. Commanders must quickly process this information and relay critical insights to front-line warfighters, making efficient and accurate system performance essential. Unmanned technology integrated into Military Utility Tactical Trucks (MUTT) supports load carrying, reconnaissance, and even armored mission roles. These unmanned platforms reduce the physical burden on soldiers and significantly enhance operational safety.

In dynamic and unpredictable battlefield environments, Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) must maintain exceptional situational awareness. To achieve comprehensive environmental perception, the UGV integrates multiple advanced sensing systems:
- 360° LiDAR for full-surround mapping and terrain reconstruction.
- Intrusion Detection Suite combining FLIR thermal imaging and visual cameras to identify and assess potential threats in real time.
- 3D Time-of-Flight (ToF) Camera capturing both intensity and depth data simultaneously, enabling accurate spatial recognition and object localization.
- Obstacle-Avoidance System featuring near-range lasers and dedicated cameras to ensure safe navigation and collision prevention.
For efficient multi-sensor data fusion, real-time processing, and rapid dissemination to the control system, the CPT100X platform offers a wide array of configurable connectors, supporting diverse input/output configurations and mission-specific customization.

Once data aggregation and analysis are complete, the UGV transitions from perception to action, executing real-time responses to dynamic battlefield conditions. The control system interfaces directly with the accelerator, brake, and steering mechanisms, enabling precise maneuvers such as sidestepping, targeted point navigation, and adaptive reactions to evolving threats or terrain challenges.
Beyond mobility, the UGV can be configured with defensive or mission-specific payloads, including remote weapon stations for protection and pan-tilt units integrating FLIR sensors and high-resolution cameras for advanced target detection and tracking.
Designed to operate in harsh and unpredictable environments, the system is built around the fanless CPT100X computing platform, which features ruggedized M12 and MIL-DIL-38999 connectors and full IP66-rated protection. This ensures reliability under exposure to dust, water, vibration, and shock, even in post-explosion or rugged terrain scenarios.
Compact yet robust, the CPT100X occupies only half the width of a standard 19-inch rackmount, making it ideal for space-constrained applications without compromising performance.
UGVs represent a transformative advancement for modern ground forces—combining autonomous control, durable design, and scalable payload capacity to meet the demands of next-generation battlefield operations.
